- Abstract:
- In the present investigation five oilcakes were selected for the study to know their effect on minimizing the problem under the sick condition. It was revealed that, total, pre- and post-emergence seedlings mortality due to collar rot, root rot and wilt diseases were significantly reduced by soil application with Neem cake followed by Linseed cake and Mahua cake over rest of the treatments (i.e. Mustard cake, Cotton cake and untreated control) in sick pots. The average incidence of chickpea wilt complex was found minimum in Neem cake (3.34%) followed by Linseed cake (4.45%) and Mahua cake (7.78%). Among these treatments, Neem cake was found to be best and showed minimum total incidence of collar rot (6.67%), root rot (3.34%) and wilt (0%) disease over control (100, 100 and 90%, respectively) with mean PDI 48.34, 41.11 and 33.34 per cent, respectively.
