- Abstract:
- Two techniques (RTT and F-K) were used to suppress dispersive ground roll energy from onshore seismic data acquired from a Niger Delta Field. Thereafter, the input unprocessed data and the post suppression results were subjected to a Fourier transform to display their amplitude spectra – energy contents. The generated amplitude spectra were analyzed in a bid to establish which of the techniques performed better for ground roll suppression. From results obtained, we recommend the RTT as a better technique for ground roll suppression than the traditional 2D F-K domain technique.
